Description

Quanah Parker was War Chief of the Kwahadi band of the Commanche Nation. He was appointed by the U.S. as the Principal Chief of the entire Commanche Nation. He became a rancher near Cache, Oklahoma and was one of the founders of the Native American Church movement for which he advocated the use of peyote in its religous rites.
