Amending the U.S . Pension Laws. 21 Feb. HR 1899, 53-3, v2, 4p. [3346] Pensions are now granted for the Black Hawk, Cherokee, and Seminole wars of 1832-42; the amendment would include the Seminole war of 1818, the "La Fevre" or Winnebago war of 1827, the Sabine war of 1836 , the Cayuse war of 1847-48, the Texas and New Mexico wars of 1849-55 , the California wars of 1850-56 , the Utah war of 1850-53 , and the Oregon and Washington wars prior to 1856.
