On the Relief officers of the Fifth Infantry. [1838] Called from Fort Leavenworth. Kansas, following the Custer massacre to serve in the campaign of 1876-1877 against the Sioux bands under Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse; belongings lost when the steamboat J. Donald Cameron sinks on the Missouri River.
